"A Fresh Approach to the Drumset" by Mark Wessels & Stanton Moore is an exceptional drumset method book that I use with nearly all of my students. It covers an incredibly wide variety of techniques and styles and can be a great reference even beyond high school. Like its companion snare drum book, it also effectively integrates online resources in the form of play-along tracks and demonstration videos (all linked below). These resources are immensely helpful for students when they practice in between lessons.
