"A Fresh Approach to the Snare Drum" by Mark Wessels is my go-to snare drum method book for most students. In additional to covering all of the essential concepts, it also effectively integrates online resources in the form of play-along tracks and demonstration videos (all linked below). These resources are immensely helpful for students when they practice in between lessons.
